Too many modern doors are hollow, stamped out of fiberboard, or wrapped in plastic laminate. At Carvawoodstudio, we do things the traditional way: carving thick planks of seasoned solid Teak and Sheesham by hand, one door at a time.

“When you touch a solid teak door, you feel the natural grain of the wood and the marks of the hand that chiseled it.”— The Carvawoodstudio Workshop
Solid hardwood timber — zero veneers or MDF
Hardwood planks seasoned for climate stability
Traditional chisel & mallet relief by artisans in India
Built to commission with international export crating
Our studio was founded with a singular conviction: in an era dominated by synthetic veneers and hollow cores, nothing compares to the soul and permanence of solid timber. A hand-carved entrance door should carry the weight of real hardwood and the unique signature of the artisan who chiseled it.
By combining traditional Indian woodcarving techniques with kiln-seasoned hardwoods and interlocking mortise-and-tenon joinery, we create architectural doors designed to endure seasonal climates worldwide while growing richer in character with age.
We carve exclusively in solid native hardwoods: seasoned Indian Teak (Sagwan) and dense Sheesham (Indian Rosewood), harvested responsibly and selected for structural density.
Before carving begins, every slab is kiln-seasoned in our workshop for dimensional stability. This helps prevent excessive seasonal warping, bowing, or movement, ensuring your doors remain plumb and square across changing seasons.
